Registered Dietitian

The South County Family YMCA is seeking a full-time registered dietitian to work in several capacities. We are beginning a grant-funded project to bring wellness, fitness and nutrition programming to local elementary and middle schools. The Student Wellness Initiative requires dietetic supervision in planning and implementing programs both during the school day and after school.

Additionally, we would like to offer nutrition services, classes, special programs, and counseling to our general membership which is comprised of approximately 65% seniors.

The position requires a good deal of innovative thinking and creativity. There is the opportunity for flexibility and freedom for a motivated, mature individual. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with youth, ages 6-14, as well as adults and seniors. The environment at our facility is upbeat and wellness-oriented. The South County Family YMCA’s Venice facility is a 55,000 sq ft fitness facility, built last year, with all the amenities. Our YMCA in Englewood is also new and very progressive. Some travel to Englewood may be required.

Salary - $35,000 - $37,000 including an excellent benefits package and YMCA membership
