School Age Programs

The South County Family YMCA is dedicated to providing quality, school-age child care to residents in the South County and surrounding areas.

The South County Family YMCA Afterschool program is center-based and designed to be a fun learning environment where kids participate in a variety of activities. Children are placed in age groups by grades and participate in a daily rotation of various indoor and outdoor activities including homework assistance, arts & crafts, athletics, tutoring, science, group games and much more. The curriculum is designed to give kids a well rounded experience and incorporates multiple areas of child development. Our Afterschool program is licensed and monitored by the Department of Children and Families.

Our School Age child care staff are specially selected, trained and screened by local and state agencies. Because the safety and care of children are our top priority, ongoing training is required.
