Venice Youth Baseball/Tee Ball
Fall 2008 Season Sept. 11th through Nov. 15th
All practices and games are held at the Venice YMCA Baseball Complex, located at 701 Center Rd, Venice behind the new two-story YMCA building.
YMCA Youth Baseball is a league that emphasizes character development, baseball skills, technique and friendly competition. Children learn the rules and traditions of baseball and gain vital experience on the field.
Practices are traditionally one weeknight per week for approximately one hour. Games are one hour long and take place on Saturday mornings.
Teams are coached by local volunteers. Practice night(s) will be determined by the coach.
All volunteers are welcomed.
Everyone can help in some way.
Divisions
We have co-ed divisions for children ages 4 – 8 years, as follows:
T-Ball: 4 and 5 years old
Coach Pitch: 6-8 years old
*** Advanced level 5 year olds may play coach pitch at parents request; Beginner level 6 year olds may play t-ball at parents request.
Registration and Fees
Registration runs July 21st thru August 30th, 2008. Late fee of $25 added after August 30th.
Cost: $55 for members and $75 for non-members.
Schedule
Thursday, Sept. 11th - Skills test for team placement- (Bring a glove)
T-ball (4/5 year olds) - 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Coach Pitch (6-8 year olds) - 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Practices begin the week of Sept. 15th.
Saturday, Sept. 27th - Games begin; season ends Nov. 15th.
Nov. 15th - final games, team and individual awards.
Scholarships are available. Everyone plays!

Volunteer coaches and officials are needed for the success of this program. Mandatory coaches meeting will be held Friday, Sept. 5th 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the YMCA Youth Center.
Coaches training will be held Thursday, Sept. 11th 7:30 PM at the YMCA's Baseball fields.
