Whether you are new to exercise or a fitness buff, taking your first swim lesson or are a seasoned athlete, the South County Family YMCA has programs to suit you.
Our Olympic-sized pool in Venice and new pool in Englewood are the homes to our South County YMCA aquatics programs. The pools are heated in the winter and cooled in the
summer. Our pool is available for open swimming or you may join any number of aquatics programs for fitness, instruction and fun in the water.
The Wellness Departments of both the Venice and Englewood YMCAs offer comprehensive health and fitness programs for the entire family. Our state of the art facilities and equipment can accommodate every level of exerciser. A sampling of our group class offerings include yoga, Spinning, line dancing, Zumba, boot camp and body rolling (myofascial release).
If you love to play sports, the South County Family YMCA has a program for you. We offer a variety of options for adults and youth with new teams and leagues forming frequently. The YMCA views its sports programs as a vehicle to instill its Five Character Values of faith,
honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility and promotes the concept that the overall well-being and success of the athlete are more important than winning.
Our award-winning gymnastics department is housed in an
8,000 square foot, air-conditioned center that hosts gymnastics, cheerleading, dance and rock climbing programs. New classes form every four months and we offer extensive summer camp programming.
In addition to our regular programs, we have a variety of specialized classes, athletic training opportunities, educational lectures, seminars and special events. There is always something to do at the South County Family YMCA.

Lose weight in 2008
Here, at the South County YMCA, we understand that weight loss is important to some of our members and we know that it’s hard. So we have developed a program to teach participants how to eat healthy and exercise, not just for a few months, but for the rest of your life. Our 12 Week Weight Loss Program encourages small changes in diet that add up to pounds lost.
