Scholarships
The South County Family YMCA is a not-for-profit health and human services organization committed to helping people grow in spirit, mind, and body. Our YMCA is here to serve people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and incomes. The YMCA believes that it’s programs and services should be available to everyone. Thanks to the many supporters of the Venice YMCA and the United Way, we are able to provide financial assistance through a scholarship program. There is a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit each individual’s financial situation.
South County Family YMCA Scholarship Program
The South County Family YMCA seeks to provide services for anyone who desires to participate, regardless of their ability to pay established membership or program fees. Those not able to pay the full fee may receive assistance based on their ability to pay.
It is unusual that 100% of the membership/program fees are paid by our scholarship program. The YMCA is a not-for-profit organization; we depend on participant fees to help maintain our services. Therefore, we expect participants to pay fees based on their financial ability.
Scholarships are provided for a specific amount of time. When that time is up, if help is still needed, you may reapply for assistance.
